History. Paano nga ba nabuo ang aming kooperatiba?

The Bangon Bayaning Magbubukid Agriculture Cooperative (BBM Agri Coop) is engaged in agriculture activities or business to establish income-generating projects that will uplift the socio-economic activities of members. Improving the quality of life of its members is the core of its operation. Members with voluntary insights who give high regards to community service is what makes this cooperative very unique while it contributes to inclusive growth, enterprise development and employment to others.

Properly citing the history of this cooperative brings us all back to the time when a group of volunteer advocates gathered together and organized themselves not wanting to be involved with any political based activities aside from pure nationalism and volunteerism. They all agreed to form an organization that will uphold the economic status of each member thru nationalistic ideology or love of country and pursue their aspirations in improving their social involvement thru volunteer acts in helping the needy members.

An association called BSU Volunteers Movement was formed through the efforts of all the active supporters of Ferdinand “Bong Bong” Marcos Jr. because of his aspirations and ideology of unity, nationalism and volunteerism with great emphasis on cooperativism. He is a champion of cooperative concepts, unity and pride of belongingness. True enough, no organization can prosper when the members are divided and no cooperative will flourish if one or more of its members is fearful or ashamed that others would know they are a part of that cooperative.

Although the common bond of this cooperative is associational, the members do not close their doors to others who wish to join them in their endeavor to help people in need. They just simply encourage the member-applicants to see things in their perspective by attending Orientation about Volunteerism and perform Volunteer Activities like Brigade Eskwela, Brigada Pagbasa, and other Kawang-Gawa programs conducted by the BSU Volunteers Movement, hoping that they too will see and feel the joy of doing business while reaching out and helping the less fortunate in the community.

On July 18, 2021, Mrs. Rethelyn L. Loredo-Esteban, persuaded 21 individuals to form an agricultural cooperative and agreed to name their cooperative as Bangon Bayaning Magbubukid Agrarian Cooperative which associates its name with the acronym BBM and begins processing their registration with the Cooperative Development Authority. In September 2022, members were increased by 33 members from BSUVM, close friends and relatives most of whom belonged to the marginalised farmers and fishermen sector. They attended a series of meetings and information drives prepared and conducted by Mrs. Esteban through the guidance of Municipal Cooperative Development Officer Mrs. Lorna V. Palasigue on cooperative concepts. Coordinators from various branches of government concerned with the operation and development of cooperatives are also enthusiastically supportive. And with the financial support of a few members led by Mr. Jeran O. Mani, the PRS or Pre-Registration Seminar was held in Sitio Sarawak, Barangay Sapa, Bataraza, Palawan on December 04, 2022. The speaker for this seminar was Mr. Ronel Pidor, representative from the CDA (Cooperative Development Authority), who opened the minds of the attendees on the deeper concept of working together to improve the standard of living through joining the cooperative.

Ang Bangon Bayaning Magbubukid Agriculture Cooperative (BBM Agri Coop) ay nakikibahagi sa mga gawaing pang-agrikultura o negosyo upang magtatag ng mga proyekto na kumikita na magpapaunlad sa mga gawaing sosyo-ekonomiko ng mga miyembro. Ang pagpapabuti ng kalidad ng buhay ng mga miyembro nito ay ang pangunahing layunin ng operasyon nito. Ang mga miyembro na may boluntaryong pananaw na nagbibigay ng mataas na paggalang sa serbisyo sa komunidad ang dahilan kung bakit napaka-natatangi ng kooperatiba na ito habang ito ay nag-aambag sa inclusive growth, enterprise development at employment sa iba pang mga aspeto ng komunidad.

Ang tamang pagbanggit sa kasaysayan ng kooperatibang ito ay nagbabalik sa ating lahat sa panahong ang isang grupo ng mga boluntaryong tagapagtaguyod ng samahang naniniwala sa pamumunong may malasakit ay nagtipon at nag-organisa ng kanilang sarili na hindi nakibahagi sa anumang aktibidad na nakabatay sa pulitika maliban sa pagboboluntaryo at dalisay na pag-ibig sa bansa. Lahat sila ay sumang-ayon na bumuo ng isang organisasyon na magtataguyod mapaunlad ang katayuang pang-ekonomiya ng bawat miyembro sa pamamagitan ng nasyonalismong ideolohiya o pagmamahal sa bansa at ipagpatuloy ang kanilang mga hangarin sa pagpapabuti ng kanilang pakikisangkot sa lipunan sa pamamagitan ng mga boluntaryong pagkilos sa pagtulong sa mga nangangailangan na miyembro.

Isang asosasyon na tinawag na BSU Volunteers Movement ang naorganisa at nabuo sa pamamagitan ng pagsisikap ng lahat ng mga aktibong tagasuporta ni Ferdinand "Bong Bong" Marcos Jr. dahil sa kanyang mga adhikain at ideolohiya ng pagkakaisa, nasyonalismo at bolunterismo na may malaking diin sa cooperativism. Siya ay isang kampeon ng konseptong kooperatiba, pagkakaisa at pagmamalaki ng sariling gawang-atin. Totoo, walang organisasyon ang maaaring umunlad kapag ang mga miyembro ay nahahati at walang kooperatiba ang yumayabong kung ang isa o higit pa sa mga miyembro nito ay natatakot o nahihiya na malaman ng iba na sila ay bahagi ng kooperatibang iyon.

Dahil ang common bond ng kooperatibang ito ay residensyal, mananatiling bukas sa mga nais maging miyembro ang pintuan ng kooperatiba hindi lamang sa mga taga-Bataraza kundi maging sa mga mamamayan ng Pilipinas na gustong ibahagi ang kanilang pagsisikap na makatulong sa mga taong nangangailangan. Hinihikayat lamang nila ang mga nais sumapi na makita ang mga bagay sa kanilang pananaw sa pamamagitan ng pagdalo sa Oryentasyon tungkol sa Volunteerism at pagsasagawa ng mga Volunteer Activity tulad ng Brigada Eskwela, Brigada Pagbasa, at iba pang programang Kawang-Gawa na isinasagawa ng BSU Volunteers Movement. Umaasa ang pamunuan na makikita rin ng mga nais sumapi sa kooperatiba at madarama nila ang kagalakan ng pagnenegosyo habang tumutulong sa mga kapus-palad sa komunidad.

Noong Hulyo 18, 2021, nahikayat ni Mrs. Rethelyn L. Loredo-Esteban, ang 21 indibidwal na bumuo ng kooperatiba sa agrikultura at sumang-ayon na pangalanan ang kanilang kooperatiba bilang Bangon Bayaning Magbubukid Agriculture Cooperative na nag-uugnay ng pangalan sa acronym na BBM at nagsimulang iproseso ang kanilang pagpaparehistro sa Cooperative Development Authority. Noong Setyembre 2022, ang mga miyembro ay nadagdagan ng 33 miyembro mula sa BSUVM, mga malalapit na kaibigan at mga kamag-anak na ang karamihan ay kabilang sa marginalized na sektor ng mga magsasaka at mangingisda. Dumalo sila sa mga sunod-sunod na pagpupulong at information drive na inihanda at isinagawa ni Mrs. Esteban sa pamamagitan ng gabay ng Municipal Cooperative Development Officer na si Mrs. Lorna V. Palasigue hinggil sa mga konseptong kooperatiba. Ang coordinators mula sa iba't-ibang sangay ng gobyerno na may kinalaman sa pagpapatakbo at pagpapa-unlad ng kooperatiba ay masigasig ring sumusuporta. At sa tulong pinansyal na suporta ng iilang kasapi sa pangunguna ni Mr. Jeran O. Mani, naisagawa ang PRS o Pre-Registration Seminar sa Sitio Sarawak, Barangay Sapa, Bataraza, Palawan noong Disyembre 04, 2022. Ang speaker para sa gawaing ito ay si Mr. Ronnel Pidor, representative mula sa CDA (Cooperative Development Authority), kung saan ay binuksan nya ang kaisipan ng mga dumalo hinggil sa mas malalim na konsepto ng pagtutulungan upang umunlad ang antas ng pamumuhay sa pamamagitan ng pagsapi sa kooperatiba.
